Services Offered
A developmental edit tackles your big picture issues: plot, characters, pacing, stakes, etc. You will receive a 5-7 page edit letter AND comments in your manuscript. This option is an in-depth, detailed analysis of every aspect of your work.
A manuscript critique is an overview of issues in your manuscript. You will receive a 1-2 page critique that focuses on the main areas your manuscript could be improved. There are no in-manuscript comments, and the focus is on a handful of key areas that will make a big difference to the quality of your work.
A line edit, or a heavy copy edit, is about the nitty gritty of your writing. This is where we deal with sentence structure, punctuation, style, and other issues that are affecting the voice and readability of your manuscript. All comments will be inside the body of your manuscript using Microsoft Word.
A great query letter is the best way to get agents reading your manuscript. This option includes a full review of the most important elements of your query, including clarity, voice, conflict, and stakes. Please note that I cannot comment on the viability of the manuscript’s premise, as this critique is solely about the query letter itself.
